Radio-active SPIDERS!!!

2 weeks ago I caught a HUGE GREEN spider under a glass in my bedroom, me being the typical wuss I am, I then couldn’t move it, so it sat there for a week untill I presumed it had starved to death and wasn’t going to jump at me if I tried to get rid of the buggar!!

WELL! I moved the glass…slowly and IT JUMPED….IT JUMPED AND HIT THE TOP OF THE GLASS PULLED OUT A MOBILE AND CALLED FOR REINFORCEMENTS!!! because just at that moment a HUGE BLACK SPIDER ran from the corner and attacked me….well it ran up the wall anyway….so then I had TWO spiders trapped under glasses on my dressing table and me having 0% courage to tackle them!!

So I left them there another week and finally the first one starved to death or I presume it did as when I finally got round to trying to get rid of it again it didn’t move…but when I looked in on the other one it had spun a web all in the glass and I was like EGGHHHWEEEE!!! So I slid a piece of card under the glass…(Iwas trying to be brave)…and took it outside and threw the whole lot …glass and all into my next door neighbours bin…well I didn’t want it climbing out and coming back into my house did I!!!

So am I pathetic or what…I’m such a girl at times!!!

DISASTER STRIKES!!!

OHHH NOOOOO!!!!!!

Its raining…which is hardly surprising as I’m in the UK and it’s October BUT….

I coloured my hair PURPLE last night and ITS RUN!!!

I have purple streaks down my face I have purple splodges on my WHITE work top and its all down the back of my neck and all over my scarf!!!

AGGHHHH!!!

Ponders…

My ice-cream man in in his 60’s with greying hair and a pot belly….He does not (as far as I’m aware) play guitar in his van or wear levis…

..SO does anyone think I could sue Levis for false advertising in there latest ad???…..Could I claim for the bitter disappointment felt when I heard the tell tale chimes the other night, ran to the door to and spotted that the driver wasn’t a complete sex god as portrayed in the advertisement but the old man I described before??

Hmmm…??? Me thinks I have too much time on my hands if I’m pondering these things in such depth

I’m exhausted…

I have had such a busy busy day……Got up this morning and went straight out the house to catch the bus to Wolverhampton to meet Al, and from there a train to Birmingham…..My mission for the day…to prove to Mr Eccles that there is another side to Brum besides the heavily commercialised “Shopping Centres”. To show him the Birmingham I usually experiance alone with a good book!!
1st stop…The Selfridges building….Ok so I know slap bang in the middle of the Bullring so not where you’d expect me to go to prove my point BUT It is really nice around there…especially if you go down towards the church and the rag markets, There’s that really cool water sculpture and in the summer (obviously not today as it was wet and windy) there are deck chairs out and random people sitting around drinking coffee and/or reading or just chillin’.
2nd stop…Oasis…and not the high street chain either, but the 5 storey MAD shop of Priory Square..wanted to show Al that Birmingham is not just a town full of the same old high street “clones”.
Then… through St Peters square to Starbucks, ok so that is a High Street clone, BUT It was the one tucked away in the corner of Victoria Square and we only ran in to pick up Vanilla Lattes and chocolate chip shortbread to take round to our next stop…
Central Library…or rather the steps outside of…Drinking aforementioned coffee and watching the big screen T.V. thats been erected there and people watching..one of my favourite past times.
Coffee finished I took him round to Centinery Square to view the photography exhibition they have on there…This month its animals in the wild…Last month it was “The Earth from the Air” (that was my favourite as I have seen it before BUT seeing the pics that BIG was awesome), Its always good to check out as there is ALWAYS some brilliant photographs on show…Oh, then we rode the BIG wheel, that was great as although I’ve often said I was going to ride it I never actually got round to doing it.
After the wheel I took him down towards Brindley Place and the canal….its real pretty round there and even though its the middle of autumn and freezing cold the flowers are still in bloom around there and it seems a million miles away from the hussle and bustle.
From there it was back towards the ICC the back way past all the back street cafes and resturants, finally cutting back through Centinary Square past the library and onto Victoria Square where they were holding this years “Birminghams Festival of Storytellers” in a marquee outside the civic buildings. I really wanted to go in so we did, and spent the next hour watching a variety of storytellers and poets, It was really interesting, and it was really fun sitting in there when the rain really started to come down, listening to it hit the roof virtually in rhythm to the poets…

By the time they had finished thier session I was really cold and tired so we decided to head into the malestom of the city centre as everyone usually knows it for food nad the train home!
It was a long, FUN, day but…Mission Accomplished…Al saw a side to Birmingham that he’d never experienced before, and had to eat his word about it being a “horrible crowded” city, I got to take LOTS of photos (some of which can be viewed at www.flickr.com/photos/essitam ) and it got me out the house for a while…

…My day didn’t end there, When I got home I discovered a message for me saying my stepsister has given birth to a little girl…..after what seems like the worlds longest labour (she started contracting 3 weeks ago poor sod) may I welcome my new niece “Sophie” into the world!
CONGRATULATION GEMMA!!!!

It’s nearly friday…

Its nearly Friday and I haven’t posted a blog ALL week…I’m slacking…

OK so whats happened….erm not alot….Monday went out and got drunk with Al… a completely unplanned event as a “quick drink after work” turned into a not getting home till midnight type of night!!!

Tuesday spent the day courting my area manager…which involved smiling sweetly and making coffee…it wasn’t so bad except the cheeky cow sent me out to fetch her lunch then convienently “forgot” to give me the money back.

Wednesday was a mad rush of school run to work to home to football practise to home again!
Today well today was just ok…took the lil’ un into school early for the breakfast club so I could get to work early and now I’m home and not doing much but sitting here telling you (whoever you maybe) how little I’ve done.

Finished Season 3 (of 24 for those of you who haven’t read my previous blogs) all I can say is HMMmm Chase…..at least Season 3 had something other than Jack Bauer to look at so I didn’t feel as odd drooling over Chase as I did Keifer Sunderland!

I am going to start season 4 tonight after I watched Sin City!

SCRAT!!!

Went to see a band last night…Scrat… THEY ROCKED, Think along the lines of Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies!! Amusing covers!! And even more amusing “originals”.

I’m glad I’m not a “Walsall Girl”!! enough said.

Roll on thier next gig….

I’m going to get food now I haven’t eaten since Friday I got some catching up to do!!
