Its back…and its worse than ever before!!

Sounds like a tag line to a B movie but alas no I am making reference to this damn cold…which I think I can offically refer to as FLU! For AGES and I mean AGES I’ve been suffering different symptoms at different times, runny nose, cough, achey muscles etc. This weekend I started having hot flushes and feeling gradually worse I battled on, still going to work till today when I got out of bed and knew I wasn’t going anywhere, my head felt ready to explode and everytime I cough I felt like I may dispel a lung, So I called in sick and contacted the parents to have Jordan for a couple of hours so that I could go back to bed and feel generally sorry for myself!!

Mom came over early and took the rat back to hers and I went and covered myself in Vicks rub and dosed up on cough mixture that came with the warning….”May cause drowsiness….”, It should have come with the health warning….(to plagiarize a line from Denis Leary)… “Don’t make any fucking plans!!!!”.

It knocked me out admittedly I did take a little more than the prescibed dosage but now 6 hours later I am awake feeling not quite so bad as I did earlier but with the realisation that, that cough mixture may well have been industrial strength paint stripper as I have no sense of taste left! I am now praying that this is just another symptom of the worlds longest cold and not a side effect from taking TOO much medicine all in one go!!

Fingers crossed for me … I’m going back to bed!
