Its back…and its worse than ever before!!

Sounds like a tag line to a B movie but alas no I am making reference to this damn cold…which I think I can offically refer to as FLU! For AGES and I mean AGES I’ve been suffering different symptoms at different times, runny nose, cough, achey muscles etc. This weekend I started having hot flushes and feeling gradually worse I battled on, still going to work till today when I got out of bed and knew I wasn’t going anywhere, my head felt ready to explode and everytime I cough I felt like I may dispel a lung, So I called in sick and contacted the parents to have Jordan for a couple of hours so that I could go back to bed and feel generally sorry for myself!!

Mom came over early and took the rat back to hers and I went and covered myself in Vicks rub and dosed up on cough mixture that came with the warning….”May cause drowsiness….”, It should have come with the health warning….(to plagiarize a line from Denis Leary)… “Don’t make any fucking plans!!!!”.

It knocked me out admittedly I did take a little more than the prescibed dosage but now 6 hours later I am awake feeling not quite so bad as I did earlier but with the realisation that, that cough mixture may well have been industrial strength paint stripper as I have no sense of taste left! I am now praying that this is just another symptom of the worlds longest cold and not a side effect from taking TOO much medicine all in one go!!

Fingers crossed for me … I’m going back to bed!

I’ve done it again!! Its been a week since I last blogged and now I dont know where to start! I do realise the begining would be the logical place but I’m not sure WHERE the begining is?? I cant even remember most of what happened over the last week!!

I have nothing to say so I will just leave you with this question that I was pondering over the weekend…

Can people with one leg jump?? Because obviously when a two legged person jumps on one leg its called “hopping” so what do one legged people do??

….What a weekend of MAD MAD MADNESS and now eveyone has gone home.

Had the always so delightful James over and Al came and visited too. Watched LOTS of films and played games and wound Jordan up fully, Lounged around and chatted LOTS Much fun was had food was eaten and not a lot of sleeping took place

Today I took lil’ J to see Aladdin at the Grand Theatre with the Childrens Deaf Society, I can honestly say I have never been to see a funnier pantomime! My sides hurt I have laughed so much! It didn’t help I suppose that after watching Team America last night that one of the lead parts looked like a puppet and I collapsed into my seat in giggles as all Icould picture him saying was “aww durrka durrka!!”…Ialways forget how much I enjoy the theatre, I always say I’ll go more then forget as no one ever wants to go with me, and then I do get to go again and rememer all over again how good it is and regret not going more…

…note to self, MAKE AN EFFORT TO GO TO THE THEATRE MORE THIS YEAR!!

Oh well thats me done I need to get off here, tidy up and eat I’m starving!!

..be on the way to football now, but I’m not. I should have had visitors last night, but didn’t. I should be having visitors tomorrow night, but I am now waiting for a text to let me know if that’s actually going to happen!!
WHY can I not make plans that actually work out the way they should?? By that I mean me arriving/leaving on time, nothing going wrong, no last minute changes and NO last minute cancellations!!

I don’t really mind that they changed last night as I ended up having a MAMMOUTH cooking session instead, Me and the brat made cakes and mini pizzas, then once he’d gone to bed I made LOTS of soup, spaghetti and biscuits!

I don’t really mind that they’ve changed tonight it means that I haven’t got to go out in the cold and I have a contingency plan….more baking!! Although a little more notice would have been nice as I wouldn’t have had to see the disappointed look on Jordans face when he realised he wouldn’t be getting to wear his new boots as I wouldn’t have told him he had them till next week (they are very funky though…silver and green!!).

I will be very upset if they change tomorrow, although I had an ulterior motive for inviting her round I am now really looking forward to catching up with my friend Sharon. I haven’t seen her MONTHS in fact since bonfire night when she turned up with the forgotton about adopted rabbit, If she cancels I will sulk!!

Oh and thanks to my mom who has just come in and asked if I had a light for her candles, I said no, she said …”really”, I said “yes, I quit smoking new year!!”…she said “REALLY!!!”
So thank you mother for noticing all the effort I put in to quit especially as you nagged me about smoking untill I finaly did!!
